The historical Antica Corte Pallavicina is an old castle which was built in 1400 by the Pallavicino family and was transformed into a farm in 1700. Massimo and Luciano Spigaroli have accurately restored the building to its ancient splendour. Culatelli now season once again in the cellars; the refined restaurant, awarded the Michelin Guide 2011 star, serves the best dishes of the “Bassa Parmense” (lowlands of Parma), and the six beautiful bedrooms on the first floor offer a stunning view of the Po River and the flood plain. The elegantly appointed bedrooms furnished with antique furniture mitigated by modern touches offer all comforts; every detail has been carefully studied. The rooms have a working fireplace, a small bar and a meat-safe with products produced on the farm: Parmigiano-reggiano cheese, bread, salami and wine. The refined bathrooms feature sinks made by local craftsmen and large bath tubs.
