The exhibition “Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi – Bob and Nico”, organized, by the screenwriter and film director Giuseppe Bertolucci, opens on May, 5th at Palazzo Pepoli, in Bologna.
The exhibition is unique in Europe and focuses on some of the most significant moments and aspects of the life of this very special couple.
An artistic and human experience entirely shared is portrayed by film clips, video clips, photos, written texts, playbills, stage properties, costumes, installations etc. displayed in the rooms of the first floor of the Pepoli Palace, laid out by the set designer Giancarlo Basili for the Film Archive of Bologna.
This esposition is part of a richer series of events, all focused on the figures of Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi:
- films by Benigni will be showed at Cinema Lumiere through May and in Piazza Maggiore from 21th June, and the “lectura Dantis”, i.e. Dante read by Benigni, will open the Summer Film Festival “Sotto le Stelle del Cinema” (“Under the Stars of the Cinema”) 2011.
Nicoletta Braschi will also play the main role in Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal”, which will be staged at the Arena del Sole Theatre (via Indipendenza, 44) from 14th to 16th of June.
