Bologna is a magical alchemy. It is not just a city of art and culture. It is a city full of life thanks to the thousands of students of the Alma Mater, the most ancient university in the world. One of the lecturers is Umberto Eco (you can sometimes meet him at the bar). In Bologna you do not need an umbrella because it is the city of porticoes: 40 km, a world record! The most poetic porticoes are the medieval ones made of wood near the Due Torri.
