The Ferrara Buskers Festival attracts 800.000 spectators a year and is one of the biggest events in the world dedicated to busking. It was founded in 1988 to promote the works of street artists and there are now 200 similar events held each year in Italy.
With its world famous Ferrara landscape as the backdrop, the festival offers attendees a fantastic way of appreciating the 200,000 sq meters of music from 35 different nations. The festival has become the most impressive world event for street music in Italy, and one of the best known folk festivals in Europe.
