It is written Faience, and reads sumptuous ceramics. Ceramic art is in Faenza’s DNA: in the 14th century this small town was already famous for its artistic production. Today, its tiles are exported worldwide. Many tourists come to Faenza to visit the Mic, International Ceramics Museum, housed in a former convent. They then discover the spectacular old town centre with Medieval and Renaissance squares and buildings.
